SESA
SESA was a brainchild of six enterprising youths having indomitable courage that went about in a dream of changing our ill-omened environment into a healthy living place. It was established on the auspicious occasion of World Environment Day, June 5, 1990.
It is a voluntary organization registered under the Societies Registration Act, 1860.
The headquarters of SESA is at Daltonganj (Jharkhand) but its branches can be opened anywhere in India. The area of operation of SESA is throughout India.
SESA has 6 founder members, 56 life members, 1 honorary member and about 150 village level volunteers and youths. People voluntary associated with SESA come from different walks of life like school and university teachers, bankers, engineers, doctors, social scientists, forest officials, businessmen, media persons, cultural activists and many more.

To establish a self-dependable society where people will structure their own destiny through their own resources and not depend upon any outside charity.
Vision
Developing a number of small social groups in the society on the basis of their priorities comprising every people of the area irrespective of caste, creed and sex. To provide them better education and health care facilities, training for entrepreneurship development, explore the human resources, inculcate in them the social values to make them self reliant to make this society self – sustainable.

Provide sufficient training to the beneficiaries as well as staff members for human resource development

Commitment for social fencing, participatory management, joint accountability, group entrepreneurship to be developed.

Women to be involved with equal say in developmental activities.

Working funds should be pooled to village level committees. It should be transparent.

Sharing of beneficiary groups in form of cash or kind (shramdan, etc.) is essential

Use of available resources in the area should be used in place of outside resources.
